My wife received a phone scam from a person who said he represented Publisher's Clearing House and that she had won a sweepstake prize.
A person called from Washington DC, phone
#202-506-9446. He identified himself as
Michael Newman and said that my wife, Aledia had
won a Publisher's Clearing House prize of 1.5
million plus $5000 a week for the rest of her
life. He asked for a reciept number
from an email that we searched for and couldn't find. He then said that it was OK that we didn't find it and he would give us the validation number, #536774083. He claimed that the prize patrol was nearby at a local airport, Toledo Suburban Airport,meeting up with our state's Attorney General. He then said that since we could not locate the email, we could go to a local Walmart or Walgreens and get a green.moneypak card for $500. The moneypak card, a photo ID, and the validation number #5036774083 would be what we provide the prize patrol. I was to call him back when I had the card |
